Over the years I have been writing poetry, some of it in the form of haiku. There is the traditional 5-7-5 syllable three line form, as well as free form haiku, which can be shorter or longer. Since this is my author’s page, I will post some haiku here as the mood strikes me and hope you like it. Let me know.
ladybugs bask in the sun
of oncoming winter
happy in a moment’s bliss
oh such happiness
the sad heart could sing
if it were still alive
no structure confines the mind
except its capacity to see
the Face of God
The dust covers the glass table
to remind us
we will gather there one day
holding and letting go
the leaves await the breeze
that will blow them away
very nice haiku
